Just one more reason not to get married, a woman has discovered she’s allergic to her husband’s sperm. The couple had been together for two years prior, and after tying the knot, decided to finally take off the rubber and go bareback. What could be seen as an omen, the wedding night was their first shot at unprotected sex – and the moment when it all started to go wrong.
Says new bride Julie Boyde, “Pretty much right after I knew something was not right because I was in a lot of pain.” Her rare condition also means she can’t get pregnant, as her body automatically destroys the sperm.
Known as seminal plasma hypersensitivity, it is possible, although extremely rare, for someone to be allergic to the proteins found in sperm. So we’re guessing the Claritin doesn’t offer gel caplets for this allergy yet – let’s hope it’s only a matter of time.
