Inmate Sues Jail Over Lack of Porn
Being in jail is pretty tough. You lose a lot more than your freedom – you lose your porn as well. And there’s an inmate who’s taking it to court.
File this under news you shake your head at. The prisoner, 21-year-old Kyle Richards, is an inmate at Macomb County Jail in Michigan, and he’s pretty pissed he can’t get his hands on some pornography. That’s why he decided to file a lawsuit.
Claiming his “civil rights are being violated,” because of the jail’s refusal to give him porn, Richard says that this loss has resulted in a “poor standard of living” as well as “sexual and sensory deprivation.” Surprisingly enough, according to the Michigan Dept of Correction, prisons will allow some porno. Unfortunately, it’s not allowed at Richards’ specific jail.
The American Civil Liberties Union says that prisons have “have a lot of leeway” with regards to pornographic material, so you never know what may happen with this crazy lawsuit. And if he wins, will the jail give him money or just a bunch of old Hustler magazines?
